Zendal
Strengthening the integration of ESG criteria into the strategy of a biopharmaceutical company
Sector: Biopharmaceutical

Our solution
At Greenme, we supported Grupo Zendal in carrying out an ESG due diligence tailored to its industry and operational context. Our approach combined strategic analysis, internal information review, risk and opportunity assessment, sector benchmarking, materiality analysis, and active engagement with key stakeholders.
The project identified the main areas for progress in environmental, social, and governance matters, considering both existing practices and opportunities to strengthen the group's ESG management. The analysis followed a practical, value-creation approach, linking sustainability with corporate strategy, client relationships, risk management, and the company's future positioning.
Based on the assessment, actionable recommendations and an initial ESG roadmap were developed to prioritize key initiatives, structure sustainability management, and support a gradual transition toward a more integrated and measurable ESG model.
Impact
The project provided Grupo Zendal with a structured view of its ESG maturity level and the main levers to strengthen its sustainability performance. It also established an objective foundation for developing an ESG strategy aligned with its purpose, business model, and the evolving expectations of the biopharmaceutical sector.
Key results:

The challenge
As sustainability becomes increasingly important in the biopharmaceutical sector, companies must move toward a more structured ESG management approach capable of meeting growing regulatory requirements, the expectations of international clients, and increasing demands for transparency from stakeholders. The integration of environmental, social, and governance criteria is becoming a key factor in strengthening competitiveness, trust, and resilience in highly regulated markets.
In this context, Grupo Zendal sought to obtain a clear understanding of its current ESG position by identifying the strengths, gaps, risks, and opportunities most relevant to its business model.
